Organic Virgin Coconut Oil As A Natural Remedy
There are so many great uses for Organic Virgin Coconut Oil! Make sure you use the organic virgin though, because there is a difference. If it doesn’t say organic virgin, it’s most likely a commercial grade which is refined, bleached and deodorized. You want to stay away from that! You can smell the difference. Organic Virgin Coconut oil smells like, well, coconuts! It has a long shelf-life, but if your like me, it won’t last long enough to find out.
Organic virgin coconut oil has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties and has proven to reduce the viral load in aids patients. The unique form of saturated fat in coconut oil prevents the hardening of the arteries, stroke and heart disease. The saturated fat in coconut oil is the same fat that is found in a mother’s breast milk. Super good for you!
Coconut oil is great for building the immune system, improving digestion, and protecting you against bacterial and viral infection. Best of all, organic virgin coconut oil promotes weight loss by speeding up the body’s metabolism. For therapeutic effects, 3-4 tablespoons a day provides enough lauric acid to see the benefits of an enhanced immune system and metabolism.
The best way to use virgin coconut oil is to use it in place of butter or oil. It’s great in a stir fry, use it to roast vegetables, or make salad dressings. Of course, you can just eat it directly from the spoon. It will turn to liquid in the heat which won’t hurt it, but you can also keep it refrigerated if you prefer. Slather it all over your skin when you get out of a bath or shower for baby soft, smooth skin. Once your hooked, you will use it all the time. It’s also great to drizzle over Fido’s kibble. It will give their coat a soft, shiny glow!
