Most people think of olive oil only as a healthy alternative to normal sunflower oil for cooking and making salad dressing. But it has a wide ranger of other uses in the home and one of these is in making soap. Olive oil soap goes back thousands of years. In ancient Greece, Rome and even Egypt people used to have massages with olive oil to lift dirt out of their skins. Later oil was mixed with lye to produce soap. Often people would use animal fat in making soap, but olive oil has also been used for many years.
There are a number of advantages to using soap made from olive oil. The first is that it generally has a lovely smell as many of the original qualities of the oil can be maintained even after it has been turned into soap. Another reason is that if sourced from organic farms it is a fantastic organic product so you know that you are protecting the environment and your family when you use it.
In general when soap is made from oil the lower grades are used. In other words the first, or virgin, pressings go to cooking and table oil and what is left is used for soap. This is not just because it is cheaper than the virgin oil. In fact the lower grades of oil are thicker and better suited to use on the skin. Some also come with additional herbs to help your skin and in some cases these soaps are recommended for people who have skin conditions. If you do, however, suffer from itchy or dry skin or a medical complaint such as eczema it is best to check with your doctor or another health professional before switching soaps. In most cases you would be fine, especially since olive oil face wash and body wash is usually very mild and gentle. It also usually does not contain many of the additives in normal soaps that may dry out the skin. Even so, it is best to be careful and check first.

Claims like free colon cleanse trial, 100%money back guarantee and 14 days free trial etc. are all over the websites, newspaper and advertisements. Different brands in the market are offering different trial offers, but with similar outcomes almost. Clear your system, feel lighter, better and lose weight are some benefits that are associated with the use of colon cleansing.

They say that it is the diet and environment which we are living in that makes us feel tired, heavy and stressed. The chemicals, artificial ingredients and fecal matter get clogged up in our body and make us feel constipated, heavy and fat. All of this drains up our energy and we feel slow and tired,

With colon cleansing, one can feel lighter, better and energetic. One may lose up to 30-40 pounds by taking up this routine. Colon cleanse prevents toxins from building up in our body. It improves digestion and boosts up self-confidence too.

There are many brands out there in the market who offer free colon cleanse offers. Many brands claim 100% herbal and natural ingredients. Some of the colon cleansers offer money back guarantee if there are no visible results.

But wait a minute! There are many ways in which one can get free colon cleanse without having to order anything. So let’s discuss some free colon cleanse tips:

• Follow a simple and healthy lifestyle

• Eat healthy. Drink juices; eat vegetables, fruits and items that are rich in fiber. Avoid artificial food and junk food.

• Exercise and walk to keep your body fat burning. This will also improve blood flow within the body.

• Eating healthy and natural will allow your colon to clean and re-regulate itself.

• Use yoghurt in your daily diet as it allows growth of bacteria that is actually good for intestinal health.

• Having garlic kills harmful bacteria and makes functioning of the intestine better.

• Flax seed oil is said to decrease constipation as it lubricates the intestine and helps in easy excretion.

• Fiber rich food like unrefined rice, blackberries, and green leafy vegetables etc. all are excellent for intestine and colon health.

• Drinking lot of water will help cleanse your digestive system automatically.

So, apart from the brands that are there in the market who produce colon cleanse and offer free trials, you can also get free colon cleanse by using natural ingredients and diet.
But, if you are too lazy to take up all these tips and measures then colon cleansing free trials should be taken for sure so you can figure out which brand suits you the best. This way if you are a junk food lover, you would not have to give up on that.

With everyone these days going green it seems, organic shampoo is a natural (no pun intended) next step into the world of cosmetics and hygiene. No longer are organic shampoos the poor product that they used to be in the past, today’s choices are as high in quality as they are numerous and versatile. Many people even make their own hair care product at home, and many recipes exist for a light product which won’t build up on hair over a period of use. So play around with a few of these products and enjoy the benefits of genuine organic shampoo.

Cheap Organic Shampoo

Cheap organic shampoos are popping up all over the place in places like Wal-Mart and Target, and they can be as cheap as nine or ten dollars a bottle. They are an averaging product, obviously and you do tend to get what you pay for, but at least you aren’t chemically damaging your hair with harsh detergents and fragrances. Cheap shampoos in general have a wide variety of uses that you might not think of, for example I use human shampoo and conditioner on my horses and they work great. I have fewer skin irritations and “itchiness” issues, and if you use organic shampoo it does tend to rinse out easier which can help speed up a usually long weekend chore.

Luxury Organic Shampoo

These can cost a fortune, but if you have any issues at all with your hair they are worth the price. I have a ton of long, thick hair, and anything that builds up chemically in on me quite literally weighs a whole heck of a lot. It is also difficult to get some of the lower quality products out of my hair, and it seems you can wash and wash to your heart’s content and still not get all the soap out. I have a huge hot water tank, and still sometimes run out of water trying to get cheap product out of my hair so organic shampoo to me (especially a high quality product) is a real boon. Those suffering from thin or poor hair quality may also gain real benefit from high quality organic shampoo, as it tangles less as you comb your hair out after you leave the shower. This in turn leads to less breakage, which will really help those who need all the hair they can get.

For years I had suffered from small canker sores in my mouth. My doctor could not help and, frankly, was not too concerned about it. In his view these were just a minor unpleasantness and not at all life threatening. And what is more, he did not have a solution to offer. So I suffered in silence until I happened to come across some information that said that in some cases they are caused by sodium lauryl sulphate, a substance that is common in toothpaste, shaving cream, shampoo and a whole range of other household items. I thought there might be something in it so I switched to organic toothpaste. The taste was great. It was completely different to that of normal toothpaste. The reason, I discovered, was because organic toothpaste does not contain artificial sweeteners. When you taste the difference you realize just how sweet normal toothpaste actually is. After changing to organic toothpaste I started paying a lot more attention to the other products I was using and soon switched to organic shampoo too. The reason was found on the label of my old shampoo bottle. It contained some many chemical substances that I was shocked. Moreover it also contained sodium lauryl sulphate. I figured if that stuff was causing me problems in my mouth, perhaps it was also responsible for my dry scalp. The organic shampoos I have tried are great and leave my hair feeling really fresh.

I was also pleased to discover the fact that they do not contain a whole bunch of other harmful chemicals. Some, such as synthetic musk (also called paraben) are increasingly controversial. Some scientists and environmentalists say that they could be connected with the rise in breast cancer in recent years. Other harmful chemicals are not even on the label but find their way into commercial products because they leach out of the plastic container. Since making the switch I have not looked back. When I use organic shampoo or brush my teeth with organic toothpaste, I know that I am respecting my body and the environment.

It is uber cool these days to restore, reuse and recycle. So with the holiday season coming upon us, why not choose unique eco friendly gifts for your celebrations? There are so many ideas to choose from, but the best eco friendly gifts come from the heart and are made with the hands. Homemade candles, paper, soaps, lotions, and bath salts are always a big hit. Knitted scarves, sweaters and mittens keep you snugly warm all winter long and are cherished forever. For the food lover canning preserves, biscotti or homemade pasta sauces are always appreciated. And from the artist, who doesn’t love an original piece of artwork to hang on the walls. Remember to wrap your presents in eco-friendly wrappings too! Reuse newspaper, gift bags, or use cloth instead of buying new wrapping paper. It’s even fun to make your own out of brown paper bags and art supplies.

Some great eco friendly gift basket ideas are filling a basket with green cleaning products, or for the garden lover a basket full of organic gardening products and seeds. Used books can be found almost like new and make a great reading basket for the book worm in your life and they are also a great cheap eco friendly gifts for those on a budget. An eco starter gift basket is a great way to intoduce someone to green living. Fill a reusable shopping bag full of more bags, a book on composting, green light bulbs, and energy saving ways to reduce your carbon footprint and save money in the process!

There are so many ways to use your imagination and surprise someone with a super cool eco friendly gift for the holidays. It’s fun to brainstorm and think of ways to save and give. It’s also a great family project.

It is proven that organic pesticides deposit a ton of harmful chemicals into both the soil that you grow your food in, as well as the water systems that you get your drinking water from. What farmers have found out though is that these pesticides aren’t always required, as the plants have natural defenses against them, as well has almost all of the insects being completely harmless to the crops. The best part of this is that you don’t have to purchase expensive organic pesticides, while you still can if you prefer not to make your own, but you are able to produce your own organic pesticides based on recipes found on the internet.

When farmers use pesticides to get rid of the insects and bugs that they believe harm their crops, what they are really doing is depositing harmful chemicals and substances into the soil which is in turn absorbed into the plants and fruits that you are eating. These chemicals also stunt the growth of the crops, which farmers often don’t realize. These chemicals are even absorbed into the water system that the farmers are using to supply water to their animals, which is then absorbed into the meat that you are receiving.

What the farmers don’t usually realize is that the bugs and insects that they find in their fields and gardens are actually quite harmless, and often actually beneficial to the plants that they are growing. These small insects help to eat the other harmful bugs and parasites that will damage the crops, and if farmers converted over to using organic pesticides they would not only increase the growth of their crops, protect the environment, but also allow nature to function in the manner that it is supposed to. Little bugs and insects often help the environment rather than harm it.

There are some costs associated with organic pesticides, which is one of the main reasons that more farmers aren’t converting their systems, but as a home gardener there is an incredible way to produce your own pesticides that are still safe for your family to consume. There are recipes available all across the internet for how to produce your own environment friendly organic pesticides, so if you are a home gardener or even a larger farm owner, you may want to really start considering the benefits of either converting to an organic pesticide system, or creating your own organic pesticides.

Organic milk is a great way to provide your family with the vitamins and nutrients that their bodies require, as well as making a huge impact on allowing future generations to enjoy the environment that they grow up in. When farmers are producing non-organic milk, they often use growth hormones, antibiotics, and other harmful chemicals to keep the cows “healthy” as they call it, but what this does is pass these types of chemicals and substances through the milk, into your families bodies as they drink it. Organic farmers take great care of their animals to ensure that they produce the best organic whole milk naturally.

It has been proven through scientific research that the levels of vitamins are substantially higher in organic milk products than in non-organic milks. This is because of the amount of chemicals that farmers use to keep their cows “healthy” actually harming their natural production of milk that is high in vitamins and nutrients. Farmers save money on the cost to produce the non-organic milk, but also get to charge substantially less for the end user product which in turn encourages them to continue their non-organic milk farm and to continue breeding more milk cows.

Organic milk products comes from natural herds where farmers haven’t used any chemicals at all during the cows entire life. Whether using chemicals in the water that they drink, adding growth hormones to the food that they eat, or using herbicides and insecticides on the grass that they eat, organic farmers take great pride in ensuring that their cows are all natural as well as the milk being produced. What this does for your family is providing them with the top quality milk that has the highest levels of vitamins and nutrients that your family requires to live a healthy life.

The costs and benefits of organic milk are the make reason that most farmers continue to produce non-organic milk. They know that by keeping the prices down that they will actually sell more milk, and this is mainly due to the fact that most people can’t afford to live off of organic milk. This is where you have to weigh in the benefits and compare them against the costs associated with purchasing organic milk products. What you are going to find is that the price generally isn’t much higher when you think about the value that your body is receiving.

When it comes to purchasing organic bedding for your home or your child’s bedroom, you are going to want to know exactly why organic products are considered so much safer to your long term health, as well as the process that goes into producing organic baby bedding. The benefits are huge when it comes to producing organic cotton bedding, with the damages to the environment being dramatically reduced, as well as providing a lot of benefits to people who have problems sleeping or have minor skin irritations from the type of fabrics that they sleep on.

Young children and infants often have extremely sensitive skin that can be irritated by the types of materials that you are allowing them to sleep on. When this happens your child or infant is going to be up all night in discomfort, as well as having small red rashes and bumps on their exposed skin. While these types of skin irritations aren’t necessarily life threatening, it will leave your child incredibly grumpy the next day because they didn’t receive any sleep. This can easily be remedied by purchasing a quality set of organic baby bedding to replace their own cotton or polyester sheets.

Another benefit to using organic bedroom sets is that you are going to be relieving yourself of skin irritations as well. Some people often associate their insomnia and tossing and turning to being stressed out, or overly worked, but the fact of the matter is that you may have minor skin irritations that just won’t allow you to get comfortable. The same irritations that can effect your children will also cause you to receive a poor nights rest, mainly because of the types of dyes used during the manufacturing process of bedding sets. Other types of chemicals used to treat the fabrics will also cause you to receive poor rest.

Relieving skin irritations aren’t the only benefits of purchasing organic bed linen, though. The cost involved is generally a lot cheaper because of the process used to manufacture the products. The farmers of the materials often don’t have to invest in harmful chemicals and pesticides which saves you money on the finished product. Because they aren’t using these harmful chemicals, you are also going to sleep better knowing that your organic bed sheets set didn’t put more substances and chemicals into the earth that seep into your drinking water, and soil that grows your food.

If you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle, you may want to consider the benefits of adding some bamboo clothes to your wardrobe. For the most part, you aren’t going to see this type of clothing on the runway models, but bamboo clothing is quickly gaining a huge following. There are a lot of benefits to owning bamboo clothing, from the fashion statement that you are going to make, the versatility of the amount of outfits you can put together with bamboo clothing, as well as the durability that this type of material has to offer you.

Bamboo fiber clothing really is fashionable, regardless of what the magazines and news stations tell you. The type of material used to create these garments is considered to have to same texture as silk, but still provide you the durability of a good pair of denim jeans. The best part about bamboo clothing is that you aren’t going to break the bank when you go shopping for a few new outfits. Because bamboo clothing is all natural, the manufacturing processes involved are substantially less than producing other types of clothing, which reduces the total amount the manufacturer pays for each article of clothing.

Bamboo clothing is extremely versatile as well, allowing you to mix and match almost any outfit that you can think of. Because of the way that bamboo clothing is produced, it is able to allow your skin to breath better, as well as regulating body heat. This means that you can wear bamboo yoga clothing for fitness and exercising training without having to worry about sweating profusely like other types of materials. You can wear this type of organic bamboo clothing in both warm and cold climates, with the material either cooling you down or warming you up depending on the temperature.

Bamboo fiber clothing is also extremely durable, with people often comparing its durability to that of a good pair of denim jeans. What this means is that you are going to get to enjoy your outfits for years to come, without having to worry about washing them in tougher wash cycles or harmful dryer heat. If you suffer from skin irritations, you are going to be pleased to know that because bamboo is grown completely organically, you are going to benefit by not having harmful chemicals rubbing against your skin while you are wearing the bamboo fabric clothing. You are going to be hard pressed to find another type of clothing that is this safe on the environment.
